POSITION SUMMARY

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for leading accounting and general ledger activities to ensure accurate and insightful financial reporting for all stakeholders. As the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for processing and accounting for the general ledger activity and month end processes and will play a critical leading role in enhancing the transaction cycle. Your primary responsibilities also include managing, reviewing, and ensuring the integrity of the financial statements for the company’s operations. This is an instrumental hire as 10X Health continues to scale and it will give the individual significant opportunity to advance and take on more responsibility at a swift pace.

OBJECTIVES

• Assess P&Ls, monitor cash flow, identify opportunities and risks, and create clear, informative, value-added analyses
• Partner with internal operations team on annual/quarterly budgets and periodic forecasting
• Work with Controller & Staff Accountant to ensure accuracy of entries
• Track, reconcile, and facilitate payments to vendor partners as necessary
• Redesign and maintain offline cash-based P&L model
• Regular review and analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Drive and manage the full accounting team performance of the close process to meet close deadlines
• Assist in preparing GAAP financial statements through data analysis, document preparation, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes
• Develop relevant, timely reports on financial data analytics such as key financial metrics and actual spend against budgets/outlook
• Monitor compliance with GAAP, with company policies and procedures and with procedures required by outside third-party accountants
• Income tax planning; respond to tax authority inquiries, notices and tax related research
• Assess existing processes, propose, and implement efficiencies
• Monitoring due dates and deadlines to ensure compliance on filings

COMPETENCIES

• Ability to compile and analyze financial information
• Understanding of how to prepare entries to general ledger accounts, document and research business transactions.
• Skilled in statistical analyses to determine trends, estimates and significant changes
• Ability to collaborate cross functionally with internal departments in order to establish and adhere to budget guidelines
• Demonstrate proficiency with GAAP to apply those guidelines in a corporate setting
• Ability to leverage accounting principles to achieve business objectives
• Solid understanding of financial reporting to determine potential risks/opportunities for the business
• Demonstrate high levels of attention to detail to avoid or catch potential errors across financial statements
• Capable of holding team members accountable to timeliness and accuracy of reports and deadlines
• Ability to develop and maintain strong vendor relationships

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• 5 years of experience in an accounting management role
• Advanced level in using QuickBooks and Google Sheets/Excel is required.
• NetSuite experience preferred
• CPA preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
